Our creative director Vanessa gives us an insider look into a 5 day getaway to France’s southern Saint Tropez.
Family-friendly and with some special moments for a romantic time, the trip to St. Tropez covered everything V and her family were looking for. Stay tuned to find out the day-by-day of their adventure.
V’s Walk-Through:
We booked a hotel 15 minutes away from the city’s hustle – a quiet place surrounded by hills and vineyards.
We planned our trip so that we’d get to see all the different sides of the city, various beaches, and mix between busy and lighter kinds of days.
Even if we have sort of a structure to what we want to do, we always make sure to see how we feel each morning and adapt the plan to that. Being with the kids (we have two little ones!) also requires this flexibility, and St. Tropez is a destination that definitely allows for it.
Keep reading for my day-to-day walk through and special recommendations for the spots that made this escape so special.
Day One: Check-in & Dinner!
The secluded hotel amazed us as soon as we got in. La Vigne de Ramatuelle Hotel is definitely a great spot to enjoy a quiet stay. The kids enjoyed it a lot as well!
We made sure to see the city at night and had dinner at Le Cafe. There was live music throughout the night!
It’s located in Place des Lices, a strip full of bars and Restaurants that turn into clubs that you can walk down after dinner.
In the evening we stopped by a little village restaurant, La Forge in Ramatuelle.
Day Three: Fun & the Sun!
Way on the other end of St. Tropez, you’ll find a more relaxed landscape. It turns rustic and rougher around the edges, which we found so cute! We started at Brigantine. From the italian food served (we went for fresh seafood) to the beach spaces to chill after (all-day sun bed at Plage de Gigaro)
For a fun night, we booked a table with friends at L’Opera. Can’t stress this enough: St. Tropez fun starts late! Make sure to manage yourself accordingly!
We made our reservations for 10pm. There’s an amazing live show at the venue while you eat. It’s a unique experience.
We ended up staying until 2am, dancing!
Day Four: Party on!
Pampelonne beach has various venues to party at during the day. For us, Le Bagatelle was the pick. No kids are allowed but let me give you one of the most valuable tips I have under my sleeve:
Baby Sittor is an app through which you’ll be able to hire a sitter (we booked one month in advance), anywhere in France. I’ve used it several times and it doesn’t fail!
Kids were at the beach, looked after all day, while we had amazing food and drinks for a mom & dad day party.
Day Five: Let’s Chill
For a more relaxed last day, we took the kids for lunch and seaside games at Verde Beach. The food was great and so was the environment, so definitely would recommend.
